Lies in a Season of Tribulation by Launa McNeilly

I believe I have. When I was in my mid twenties, I was awakened suddenly. It was late evening. I had gone to bed early because I didn't feel well and my husband was still up. I opened my eyes to a man standing beside my bed and just looking at me. Not recognizing him as someone I knew, I closed my eyes fast and squeezed them tight. Why didn't I scream to my husband? It was the feeling that I had that said," close your eyes." He never said a word. When I dared open them again, he was at the end of my bed, still standing and watching. I, once again, squeezed my eyes shut and waited for a few minutes. When I opened them again, he was gone. I know I was awake because I scooted out of bed and ran downstairs to where my husband was. I don't know who he was or why he was there, but I know he was. I never saw him again but the memory still haunts me.
